A Black man is now president of the United States of America!! Let me repeat that if it has not yet sunk in, “ A BLACK MAN IS NOW THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”!!!........ Last night when he came out to deliver his victory speech I was thinking to myself, “I hope they at least let him sit in the Oval Office before they assassinate him. Well forgive me for being the cynic!!! I was equally impressed with his victory speech as he accepted the people’s mandate with humility and acknowledging that the work has only begun. Let me assure you of this; As sure as the sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening no Black man will be allowed to be as incompetent and belligerent as George Bush is. Furthermore if he fails to deliver on the promised he made to the people of America and by enlarge the world we may never see a black man rise to that position again. I must give credit to Sen. John McCain who delivered a very gracious concession speech in which he pledged his support for ‘his’ president and urged his supporters to do the same. I however while highlighting that a ‘Black Man’ is President of the USA could care very little about race. I care even less about Politicians. I have for a very long time stop looking outwards for solutions to my problems and definitely am smarter than to believe any one man can turn my life around. GOD is my shield and source of strength and in GOD and GOD alone I put my trust. I understand the nature of a politician and firmly believe, “the politicians that governs least, governs best”. What I believe in is ideals and more importantly separating men from their ideals. Men make mistakes and some can be turned in the face of adversity but if we separate them from their ideals we can adapt those ideals and ensure they live on. Bill Clinton was a great President that governed over a very prosperous USA, history will remember his one transgression. George Bush was a horrific President that will be remembered to have defended America in a time of great peril (Never mind he caused them). History can be very funny like that. That is why I say separate the ideals from the man. Now we wait on time to see what history has to say. Shoutouts
